The most dominant mental training technique in terms of improving performance is mental imagery or visualization. They are methods of forming a mental image of your intention in your particular sport or exercise routine. Research has identified that visualization improves performance when coupled with physical training than just physical training alone. When athletes engage in imagery, the muscles involved in the action are being primed to execute in reality. Visualization is effective for any goal or area of opportunity and for any sport. A visualization exercise will be scripted towards the individual athlete and chosen sport with an area of focus in mind. This visualization exercise is recorded in the form of an MP3 file and sent to you for your daily use to optimize your performance.
